    I bought the Crane 2s the day before the RS2 was announced. I ordered the RS2 to compare both and decide which one to keep. In my experience, the RS2 ended up being far better mainly because of ergonomics and weight distribution.The Crane 2s has a really thick and slippery grip. Also, since the carbon fiber is on the grip, and the metal is on the top, it makes it feel heavier than it actually is. The RS2 it's the opposite, it feels lighter because the light part is on the top. Another reason is the active track from the Raveneye, I can do camera movements I could never do without it. The Crane 2s is really good for the price, the stabilization you get is as good as the RS2, and it can handle even more weight, but at least for my usage, the RS2 is more enjoyable.

    As a former Zhiyun user (I had Crane 2 and Crane 3 Lab), I didn't want to give Zhiyun another chance. I mean, their gimbals are ok but they always lack something. I had the chance to test a Ronin and I fell in love and decided to give DJI a chance and didn't look back. I'm satisfied with the RS2. Maybe the Crane 2S has stronger torque in its motors and can get wider bodies, but the algorithm in the RS2 motors is more refined. You can even test the balance and calibrate the motors from the app! That was a feature that really impressed me. I've seen other videos where the stabilization on the Crane 2S is better and although I'm not gonna question the results, in my own experience that doesn't matter if you can't manage the weight on the gimbal, so yes, operator's skills are the most important factor to get smoother footage

    I got the Crane 2S for $300 on BH and it was a no-brainer. I'm jealous of Ronin users, as I used one for the past year with my job, but for personal use I wanted something affordable and 300 bucks (US) for a solid gimble seemed worth it.

      Hi, the Crane 2S is a great gimbal, it has amazing stability. And for $300 you have made a solid investment that is future proof. Buy a side handle, that will give better control. Pete✌️

    The best Gimbal is one that actually works. I'm on my fifth RS2 (Pro Combo) in 3 weeks. Each has had multiple build tolerance issues (all confirmed by DJI upon contacting them). Three also had other faults once powered on. The thing that gets me the most though is that none of them had the same issues, not even one. The fifth now has to go back because the Raveneye is bricked, right out of the box (along with a lock that hits an arm when closed, but that's small potatoes now...). This whole hold power button for 15 seconds/press power button 6 times/remove sim card etc has done nothing (Those 3, white, blinking lights were laughing at me. Can't even power it back on now it's turned off...and now zero lights, which DJI confirm is a bricked unit.). Looking back at the emails to and from the camera store I've now had 28 faults. 28 separate faults, across 5 Gimbals. DJI are an absolute joke. Buyer beware.

      Same here, returning the second RS2, the first one had locking issue with the handle, the other one after 3 days of use could not lock properly the bottom axis. I love it and want to keep it, but damn, how I can have confidence in the product when every new time something else misfunctions.

      @guilledezoq 2 года назад

      Yeah, QC is definitely lacking. Im returning my second unit but this time for a refund. Moving to Crane 2s.
      I was able to fit and “balance” (though the roll axis would just stay down) my 6k Pro with a 25 mm SLR apo cine lens, but a few things were bad. The 12mm rod would make it wobbly for focus, the lens support would not fit properly unless you got a bunch of different accessories, even though I got the pro combo. Oh and raveneye doesn’t sell a receiver with hdmi out for their systems.
      The crane 3s seems too big, so hoping the 2s does the trick!
      The rs2 after all was made had some wobble still. Pos

    I think swapping batteries is a lot better on dji. You just change the handle and continue shooting. Meanwhile the battery/handle can be charged without the gimbal itself. Also with accessories you can use other batteries than the handle.

    I had it in my mind that the Crane 2s and RSC 2 would be considered competitors, and the Crane 3s and RS 2 likewise. I'm curious if I'm wrong there (and if so, why), or why you're comparing the 2s and RS 2? Maybe a future 4-way comparison video to show where each falls?

    • @blahmorett
      @blahmorett 3 года назад +4

      The Crane 3s is a larger and way heavier gimbal. It's meant for cinema cameras and heavy cinema lenses. The Crane 2s has similar specs and form factor to the RS2.

    nice presentation. good idea to measure the weight like that : 2Kg for rs2 different from spec sheets. if we remove a z6ii camera from rs2 for handheld and connect back to rs2, is balance maintained like rsc2 or do we need to rebalance rs2 ?
